アメリカーノ
Americano (cocktail) is a cocktail made from Campari, sweet vermouth, and soda water. It appears in the category of the IBA official cocktail list. Campari's official site explains that the Negroni arose by adding gin to this drink.

Scope and provenance of the photo
Identification: Identified as labelled in the source. The description says "Nightwood Restaurant. July 8, 2012", and the file name states Americano cocktail. A photograph from the same series by the same uploader, File:Americano cocktail (8294948800).jpg, is also included as a secondary candidate (a close-up with the glass held against the light, with no bottles or similar objects in the frame). I opened the image and confirmed. A tall glass with a red-brown carbonated drink, ice, a lemon wedge, and a straw is shown. The bubbles are clearly visible
Image shown: Same size as the original on Wikimedia Commons. No cropping or color changes. For display, a WebP capped at 1200 px wide is served; the ledger's original image can be checked from the link above.

Reading the bitterness
The International Bartenders Association (IBA) lists the Americano as one of "The Unforgettables". Its recipe specifies 30ml Bitter Campari and 30ml sweet red vermouth with a splash of soda water, mixed directly in an old-fashioned glass filled with ice, stirred lightly, and garnished with an orange half-moon slice and lemon peel. Campari is identified here by the word 「ビター」 (in translation: "bitter").
Campari's own official history page gives conflicting indications of when the Americano arose. Its timeline section for 1920 says 「アメリカーノとネグローニがこの時代に生まれた」 (in translation: "the Americano and Negroni were born in this era"); another feature on the same site says 『1919年に考案されたネグローニから、1933年のアメリカーノへ』 (in translation: "from the Negroni created in 1919 to the Americano of 1933"), explicitly giving 1933 for the Americano. These dates do not agree within material from the same company and the same page; there is no basis here to decide which is correct.
